The Wilson Area LINCS Coalition for Families and Youth was inspired in 2010 by school principals who saw more students struggling with basic needs like food, housing, and safety, and appealed for help. What began as a referral agency has since evolved into a volunteer-driven organization offering direct support to families and youth, continuing the mission sparked by those early concerns.
The Wilson Area LINCS Coalition for Families and Youth is governed by a Board of Directors, with operational committees accountable to the Board for developing and carrying out activities. Daily operations, program development, community engagement, event planning, resource distribution, and fundraising activities are led by a Director and Community Mobilizer, supported by many volunteers.
We partner with a variety of organizations and businesses in our community to deliver essential services and programs to those in need. Support from many individuals, organizations, municipalities, and agencies enables the Wilson Area LINCS Coalition for Families and Youth to positively impact the lives of students and families in the Wilson Area School District.
Wilson Area LINCS Coalition for Families and Youth is a non-profit organization that provides access to essential services and programs for area families.
